The Sanofi-Aventis Biotalent Challenge (formerly known as The Sanofi-Aventis Biotech Challenge) is an exciting educational initiative that introduces high school students to the real world of biotechnology. Each student team carries out research projects of their own design, working with a mentor in the local community. This educational outreach model permits students to tap into expert advice while facilitating access to scientific equipment and supplies.
SABC programs are held annually in 13 regions across Canada, sponsored by over 100 organizations, including biotech companies, national and local educational programs in partnership with universities, colleges, government and industry.
As a key feature of the Annual SABC Awards ceremonies, the TBI is proud to sponsor a special Commercialization Award. This award, valued at $750, recognizes the spirit of entrepreneurship in young Canadian talent.
